Meet the Owner/Artist: Mollie Hobbs

Welcome to Mood Cosmetic Studio! I’m Mollie Hobbs, the creative heart behind our vibrant space. Born and raised on the VA/TN state line, I’ve lived in amazing places like Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, the Outer Banks, the Florida Keys, Jacksonville NC, and now Tampa.

Living with type 1 diabetes since age 4, I’ve learned resilience. I’m a sourdough enthusiast, a plant lover with over 150 plants at home, and an avid reader who loves sharing book recommendations.

Initially aiming to be a celebrity colorist, I transitioned to barbering, met my husband, and discovered my passion for PMU. Now, I create hyper-realistic, undetectable beauty that celebrates your unique features.

I’m also a proud mom to Stella, Margot, and Axel. Starting with minimal training, I’ve worked tirelessly to perfect my craft. To my first brave clients, thank you!

Meet the Artist: Mara

I grew up in New York working in a music store most of my childhood, wanting to absorb anything creative. When I wasn’t playing the flute, guitar, or piano, I was sketching in a notebook with my mom’s black eyeliner.

When I turned 19 I moved to Tampa and went back to school at UT, earning a BA in marketing. I purposely centered my education around marketing and entrepreneurship knowing I wanted my own business one day, I just didn’t know how to combine that with art.

Meeting Mollie was a total turning point and moment of clarity for me. I knew tattooing would allow me to combine art and business because I saw her do it.

We both decided that an artist should properly understand their medium, so I got my Full Specialist Esthetician license from Aveda Institute to learn all about the skin. I offer an array of facial services currently, and will be taking models for PMU soon!
