Faux Freckle PMU Aftercare:
Nurture Your Freckles Like a Summer Glow!
Just like a sun-kissed glow needs protection, your fresh freckles need the right care to heal perfectly. Follow these aftercare steps to keep them radiant!
After the Procedure
For Normal to Dry Skin:
Cleanse your face morning and night with a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser to keep your freckles fresh. Skip ointments and lotions—keeping them dry helps with optimal healing!
For Oily Skin:
Cleanse morning and night with a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser to maintain your fresh freckles. Avoid ointments and lotions to prevent moisture buildup. For the first 48 hours, if your freckles look glossy or you notice excess lymph fluid, gently dab with a clean tissue or a sterile water wipe to keep them dry and healing beautifully!
____
Days 2-7
Days 1-2: Your freckles will look bolder, darker, and slightly inflamed—don’t worry, this is totally normal!
Days 3-4: The freckles will start to scab over as your skin begins healing.
Days 5-7: Light peeling will occur, and scabs will start to flake off—DO NOT PICK at them! Let the skin heal naturally to avoid pigment loss.
Healing Beyond the Surface: While the top layer of skin heals within 5-7 days, your deeper skin layers take 6-8 weeks to fully recover. Some freckles may reappear within this time, while others may fade. Expect your freckles to heal 30-40% lighter than the initial results, softening into a natural, sun-kissed look over time!
____
What to Avoid for 5-7 Days
Keep your brows dry! No sweating or swimming for 10-14 days.
Use the provided shower shields to keep water off your brows. If you have oily skin, wipe your forehead with an alcohol pad before applying the shield for better adhesion.
Avoid direct sun exposure—wear a hat!
Once healed, apply a clear SPF stick daily to protect the pigment from fading.
Sleep on your back & swap out your pillowcase for a clean one to prevent premature flaking.
Pro tip: An airplane pillow can help keep you from rolling onto your face while sleeping.
❌ WHAT TO AVOID:
No picking or scratching.
No sunscreen, skincare, or makeup.
No sun exposure or tanning (including tanning beds).
No steam baths, showers, or saunas.
No working out or increased sweating.
